Bogart SE 5 User manual
7.2. Media Manager reference
The explanations of Media Manager functionality in this manual
are necessarily incomplete. For the complete and current
Media Manager functionality, please refer to the RelaxVision
manual. The Media Manager descriptions are more compre-
hensive in that manual, but it is described as Relax Vision.
7.2.1 Optical media
In this CD/DVD menu (3), you can play audio CDs, MP3 discs
or video DVDs. You can also use the Universal Player to play
many kinds of video and audio file formats.
Note: Due to the large number of format types, it is impossible
to guarantee full playback compatibility with all types of files.
There may be unusual format variants that are not suitable for
playback with the Universal Player.
7.2.1.1 Entering the menu
If you activate the automatic playback for a CD/DVD disc in the
operation settings, miscellaneous (please refer to chapter 3.2.3
(Media Manager)), the medium will be analyzed and played
right away. This will happen, no matter which menu you are
currently using. Otherwise, you can also open the drive using
the tray button (or press the F4 key on the connected USB
keyboard), insert a written medium and closing the tray again
and then call up item ‘3. CD/DVD’ from the Media Manager
main menu. After a few seconds, the system will have finished
analyzing and the required playback program of the software
will be launched.
7.2.1.2 Audio CD, Photo CD, File CD/DVD/Blu-ray
Once the system recognizes the audio CD format, playback
begins shortly. If you have played the CD on your system
before, the Media Manager will ask you if you wish to continue
listening from the last position or if you want to start the CD
from the beginning. You can use the P+ and P- buttons to skip
the tracks.
A photo CD automatically jumps to the photo archive section
of the software. You will instantly see the photos listed and can
start the slideshow. Use the Options button or the trackball
help button to configure automatic repeat or random playback
of the photos. If you have varying audio and video formats
on the disc, a list will appear showing all files. Press the ‘Info’
button to get more information about the file. Behind the file
name, the system displays the format type and running time.
7.2.1.3 Playing a Video DVD / CD
If you have inserted a Video DVD or a CD with Video DVD
content, it will start playing automatically. If you have played
the disc on your system before, the Media Manager will ask
Regardless what you choose, the file names of the pictures
stored on the CD/DVD will be displayed in the list (Photos on
CD/DVD/USB) on the left side. The picture currently active in
the list, is displayed in the top right. Additionally, information
related to this picture is displayed at the top left of the window.
If you click on the Info button, a window will be called up in
which additional information (if available) related to the picture
which is selected in the list on the left will be displayed, such
as date, pixels, camera model and more.
If you click on button ‘7’, the pictures listed in the list on the
right will be imported, meaning that they will then be stored in
the photo archives of your DVC device. If you have not trans-
ferred any pictures to the list on the right yet, clicking on the
Import function will import the picture currently selected in the
list on the left. If some of the pictures that are to be imported
are already stored in the Photo archives, a message will ap-
pear to ask you if these pictures should be imported anyway.
7.1.9 Creating a slide show in the photo
archive
You are in the film archive. Click on the Options button to call
up an options selector. You should select the playlist here.
This calls up a new menu, in which you can create your playl-
ists (e.g. to view several pictures as a slideshow, one after
another). The list on the left contains the filter list you have
created, all pictures you have so far imported in the order you
wanted or only a selection that you have created with the help
of the change function. The picture which is marked in the list
on the left, is displayed in the top preview image. When you
move in the playlist, the last selected image will be displayed
here.
The P+ and P- buttons are used to navigate in the list and se-
lect the desired entry. Use the OK function to add the currently
selected entry to the list on the right (playlist). If you select
an entire album, all pictures in the album will be added to the
playlist. Click on the Info button to open a window in which
you can see available information related to the selected entry.
With the left and right directional buttons, you will be able to
move through the three views Titles, Albums and Album con-
tents. Use the Play button to play the playlist, starting with the
current image.
